A single groom is one calendar. Five men are five calendars, five sets of measurements, and five separate fittings that all have to land before the same date. That is the part nobody plans for.
There is also a constraint people rarely anticipate: to make the suits match, the cloth should be cut from the same bolt. Dye lots vary between production runs, and two navies from different bolts will read as two different navies in photographs. That means we order enough fabric up front — which only works if we know the full headcount early.
6–7 months
Still manageable. Group the measurement appointments into one afternoon if you can.
7–8 months
Fabric volume and fitting logistics both become real constraints here.
+4 to 6 weeks
A groomsman flying in for one weekend needs his two fittings compressed into it. Tell us at the first appointment.
Book the group first
Most couples handle the wedding party last, after the flowers and the seating chart. Reverse that. The group order has the longest lead time of anything you will commission, so it should be the first thing locked in — before the details that can be decided in an afternoon.
Practically: get the headcount confirmed, then book one measurement session where everyone comes together. One afternoon replaces five separate appointments, and it is the single biggest thing you can do to keep the timeline honest.
If you are already inside six months
Coordinate the groom’s suit and the party as separate tracks. The groom’s garment gets full attention and the longer runway. For the groomsmen, we work from readily available cloth and simplify the construction. The result still matches — it just leaves less room for a change of mind halfway through.
